Heres a shot showing Nicks Koorey's CCT Peterbilt to the left. Would this be #16437 Ex AFL? Or # 19893 Ex Slaters with crown fenders and Budds fitted?? Maybe not.
To the far left nearly out of view is Nicks CCT W Model.

The Hayes

CCT's COE KW Can we ID this and drag up a chassis # and specs? Who can help?

352M Peterbilt #15987 Kevin Costello owned this truck. FTS 230 originally Redwood Traders COE

A little bit more view of the Kenworth.

The Yellow STL Peterbilt mentioned earlier No ID on photo and couldnt remove it from sleeve, best I could do. I'm guessing it #19893 Slaters, Nicks and could that be him on the edge of the next photo?

Hello VFA
Welcome to the forum and this thread. Thank you Vic.
Your info confirmed our thoughts thinking it was the same tank manufacturer as a larger one being lifted onto Truck 7 by to large mobile cranes. It has a banner with Johnson Engineering Sydney and details under that I cant make out. Age related. Its not hard working those initials out ;D Appreciate anything you could share with us. Is Peter Lane still with us?
Thanks again Vic ;)

Hi there Learner
yes you are correct in your observance.
If you refer to post #14 you can see what i would call the attachment holes for similar.
What a topic steeped in history
Pct has a wonderful input

g'day PCTand all .. that is Nick Koorey's conventional ch/no 16437 in beside the hayes in the line up of four.

you can tell by the RH exhaust, as on 16474, which was a feature of the earliest peterbilt conventionals, because the yanks still hadn't figured out that we drive on the other side and there's the exhaust ...right in your ear!

that glary shot is of nicks ex laurie slater truck although nick owned it after george wolstenholm of newcastle had finished with it....idstbc i have a good picture i can post this arvo..hope i can keep it good!....cheers

Hi Everyone,
That was my first thought #16437, having Budd wheels, and come to think of it Slaters truck still had its square fenders till the end, didn't it? What became of this one Detective?

Swishy, the old air bags might be all right for general, but a bit too rock and roll for a float, take the air bags out and put in the hydraulic rams, or just stick with springs. Back in those days they probobly didn't get too worried about the load sharing.

Big C

Eye here ya
But we have 2 trailers th@ can B 2,3 or 4 axles
n the rear axles R on air bag only
Many moons ago there was a very good bogie suspension being the walking beam
gr8 for stability n load sharing
but when it cam to tri suspensions, not much was availble
so we had built a tri with the front 2 axles on walking beam for stability n the rear axle removerable on air bag n then had the option of grab n a air bag axle off one float n addin to the other to make up 4 axles
we stihl use them 2day (if n when the fone rings)
each load u need to dial up the desired pressure in A/B
tiz legal n approved from the 60's
LOL

hey PCT ... Cams suggestion about a word document is exactly what i did with the TNT stuff and now i am talking with certain people about a book in the near future. My document went from about 20 pages to 130+ in a very short time.
